Day 8 - Wanaka to Cape Foulwind

This was quite a long drive - just over 600km in all!

With such a long drive ahead we didn't have time to go to Puzzling World. Next time!

Here's why satnav isn't all that useful in NZ - 312km to the next turning!!

Some photos from along the way!

One of the things I love about NZ roads, this is the state highway, the only road up the West coast. And it has cattle grids on it!

A quick stop for a look at Fox Gacier

Franz Joseph glacier

One-lane bridges

Interestin approach to roadworks - clear out all the potholes to about 15cm deep then go home for the day and leave them!!

The scary combined road and rail bridges - and a railway through a roundabout!
